120 avenue de la republique, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand
ibis Clermont-Ferrand Centre Stade
Hotel 3-star in Clermont-Ferrand
Presentation
The ibis Clermont-Ferrand Centre Stade is located on Avenue de la République, directly opposite Marcel Michelin Stadium. It is accessible by tram, with the stop right outside the door, and Clermont-Ferrand city center is only about a ten-minute ride away.
As soon as you step inside, you discover a hotel renovated in January 2026. The tones are light, and the design remains relaxed. At reception, someone is there day and night, which makes all the difference when you arrive late.
From the morning on, the buffet draws a crowd. Sweet, savory, and a few local specialties. It is charged as an extra, so it is worth knowing before heading down in slippers.
On the ground floor, the bar opens at 6:30 a.m. for the first coffee and closes at 1:00 a.m. The terrace is spacious, a good place to settle in at the end of the day with the stadium opposite. The restaurant offers comforting dishes and sharing platters, but only from Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The rest of the week, dinner is in town, and the tram takes care of it in ten minutes.
Up on the upper floors, there are 96 air-conditioned rooms, with quality bedding, free Wi-Fi, and good soundproofing. They are classic, no-frills, and fairly spacious, and some are adapted for guests with reduced mobility. On match nights, the avenue comes alive and the hotel is often fully booked. The rooms facing the garden are the quietest; you only need to ask for them.
Under the building, the underground parking is closed and secure, with wide spaces. It is payable. The two meeting rooms are mainly used by business travelers, of whom there are many in this area near Polydome and CHU Estaing.
Otherwise, Puy de Dôme and Vulcania are arranged at reception, and the lava-stone cathedral can be visited by taking the tram.
If a match is scheduled on the evening of your arrival, ask for a garden-facing room at check-in, then go up for a drink on the terrace around 6:00 p.m., when the crowd begins to walk along the avenue.
